SOURCING & SAFETY
Q: Are your berries certified organic? A: No. Kylmä Co. is not organic-certified. Bilberry, lingonberry, cranberry and sea buckthorn are picked wild in Finland; aronia is grown on Finnish farms.
Q: How is food safety handled? A: Kylmä Co. is under Finnish food-safety supervision, and the Oiva report is published on our site. The products are packed in Nurmijärvi, Finland.
Q: What documentation comes with an order? A: Commercial Invoice, Packing List and Technical Data Sheet as standard.
Q: Where exactly do the berries come from? A: Picked and packed in Finland. Bilberry, lingonberry, cranberry and sea buckthorn are hand-picked in the wild; aronia is grown on Finnish farms. Whole bilberries and bilberry powder are freeze-dried; lingonberry, cranberry, aronia and sea buckthorn are air-dried at low temperature.

Q: How should it be stored and displayed? A: Cool, dry, out of direct light, cases sealed until they go on the shelf. There are no anti-caking agents in these powders, so in humid air the natural fruit sugars draw moisture and the powder can set firm.
Q: A customer says the powder has gone hard. What do we tell them? A: That the clump is the absence of silicon dioxide, not a fault. It breaks apart with a spoon and neither the flavour nor the colour changes. It is worth training staff on this one — it is the most common question a berry powder gets, and the honest answer sells the product.

Here is how we get our berries from Finland to your facility.
1. How to order. Email your purchase order or your requirements to hello@kylmaco.com with the SKUs, the quantities and the delivery country. We confirm stock and issue a Pro Forma Invoice within 24 hours. Once payment is confirmed your stock is allocated immediately.
2. Dispatch and lead times. All goods ship from our warehouse in Finland. In-stock orders are dispatched as soon as payment clears. Custom and bulk orders get a confirmed lead time in writing on your quote, before you commit.
3. Shipping and Incoterms. Trade and wholesale orders ship worldwide, including Japan, China, Korea, Singapore and all Asian markets. Carrier and Incoterms are set per order, parcel or pallet, and both are stated on your quote before you accept it. EU orders move as an intra-community supply, so no customs delay.
4. No minimum order quantity. Order from a single carton to a full pallet.
5. Samples. Free samples for trade enquiries. Ask in your first email and tell us which SKUs you want to taste.

Aronia berry powder supplier
Aronia Berry Powder (KC-ARO-01) is made from Aronia melanocarpa grown on Finnish farms, air-dried at low temperature and ground. Deep purple-black, astringent, used by manufacturers as a natural colour and by cafés in smoothies. Aronia is our newest product, in 100 g pouches.
Wild bilberry powder and whole freeze-dried bilberry
Freeze Dried Blueberry Powder (KC-BIL-02) and whole Freeze Dried Blueberry (KC-BIL-01) are wild Vaccinium myrtillus from Finnish forests, freeze-dried. Bilberry Fiber Powder (KC-BIL-03) is the pressed skins and seeds, dried and ground. The most requested products for bakeries, granola and ice-cream makers and specialist food retailers.
Lingonberry, cranberry and sea buckthorn powder
Lingonberry Powder (KC-LIN-01, Vaccinium vitis-idaea), Cranberry Powder (KC-CRA-01, wild Nordic Vaccinium oxycoccos) and Wild Sea Buckthorn Powder (KC-BUC-01, Hippophaë rhamnoides) are wild-picked and air-dried at low temperature.
